File a corrected claim for the first one. Medicare will offset the difference when it's reprocessed.

I would do a voluntary refund and then send in a corrected claim. You want them to process the refund first to get the first procedure out of the system.Sharon

When it comes to something like this, a redetermination can't be performed because of a payment difference issue and thr wrong CPT code was submitted in the first place.

Sure it can. Maybe it varies from carrier to carrier but I know at least one allows it.
